Neurological Auricular Acupuncture Treatment… NAAT, is a treatment program developed especially to address the Alpha Gal Syndrome “meat allergy” and other complex neurological, immune, and endocrine conditions.
Medical providers: “There’s nothing to do but avoid eating meat.”
Currently, there is no typical, traditional, drug-based medical treatment for Alpha Gal patients. When you visit your primary care provider or an allergy specialist, you are told simply to avoid the meat, dairy and other triggers that stimulate an allergic response. Most patients know that is difficult and nearly impossible to do. There are many hidden ingredients, contaminants, unknown triggers that can cause a reaction.

NAAT… to reverse the allergic response…

The problem began after a tick bite. The Lone Star tick is a known vector of Alpha Gal Syndrome, or meat allergy. When a Lone Star tick bites, it injects saliva into your skin. The saliva from the tick contains a type of sugar molecule, Alpha-gal (galactose-\(\alpha \)-1,3-galactose). Your body reacts to this tick bite in a defensive manner. This reaction causes the immune system to form antibodies to fight the Alpha Gal molecule.
Not everyone that is bitten by a Lone Star tick will form these antibodies and develop Alpha Gal Syndrome. It is not clearly known why some do and some do not.
In order to stop the reactions you experience after eating meat or dairy, it is necessary to undo what happened in your immune system. In other words, like hitting the “undo key” on your computer, we want to reverse the switch that was activated when you reacted to the tick bite.

Medical Acupuncture has been shown by research studies to be able to reduce or eliminate allergic reactions. Biological studies show acupuncture can help regulate immune function by decreasing levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines and reducing serum immunoglobulin E (IgE)—the antibodies responsible for allergic overreactions. For example, a medical study just published within the last few months in The International Journal of General Medicine reviewed numerous research studies and concluded acupuncture definitely works for allergies. The International Journal of General Medicine is an open-access, peer-reviewed medical journal.

The NAAT Program Measures and Monitors Your Levels of Alpha Gal Specific Ig-E Levels to Confirm your progress.
The Ig-E antibodies are markers within your body that can be measured in blood tests. The NAAT program involves a blood test before beginning care that measures the levels of Alpha Gal specific Ig-E levels and again after a few weeks of care to monitor your progress.
Clinical studies and systematic reviews indicate that acupuncture may modulate the immune system and alleviate allergy symptoms by lowering serum Ig-E concentrations and rebalancing inflammatory cytokines.
Results
“Acupuncture inhibited mast cell degranulation, reducing histamine and IgE levels. It downregulated pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-4, IL-5, IL-13) and upregulated anti-inflammatory IL-10, via suppressing NF-κB, MAPK (p38, ERK), and TLR4/MyD88 pathways. Clinically, it improved asthma (FEV1/PEF elevation), allergic rhinitis, and atopic dermatitis. Preclinically, it reduced eosinophil infiltration and inhibited NLRP3/caspase-1-mediated pyroptosis, further mitigating inflammation.”
Conclusion
“Acupuncture alleviates allergic disorders by targeting mast cells and inflammatory cascades, supporting its potential as a safe, effective therapeutic option.”
NAAT Is Neurologically Enhanced Medical Acupuncture
The NAAT process involves recognizing the neurological aspects of the immune system to utilize procedures that may effectively stimulate controls of the inflammatory cascade that occurs as part of the allergic reaction.
The NAAT is directly stimulating neurological sensory cells that are directly connected to your brain. This direct stimulation is thought to specifically areas of the brain that are involved with the immune response. Brain scans using a functional MRI (fMRI) to observe the activity in the brain in real-time during acupuncture stimulation have clearly revealed that certain acupuncture neurological points are influential in the activity of specific portions ofthe brain. The image below shows brain scans made during a live Medical Acupuncture treatment. The colored areas show portions of the brain that are specifically responding to the acupuncture stimulation.
